Heads of civilised citizens are down in shame for being governed by a system where a High Court judge can go to an extent of sending a senior lawyer to mental asylum in CBI custody for allegations of wife-torture which was later termed by the concerned woman to be blown out of proportion. How was it possible for the judge to take self-cognizance of a particular FIR out of a large number filed daily unless the judge had close watch on personal matters of the lawyer because of personal rivalry? Setting up of a late-night division-bench by the Chief Justice on complaint of other senior lawyers for correcting the wrong done is in itself endorsement of unusual conduct on part of the judge.
It is not understood why tools of ‘In-House’ procedure and impeachment are not implemented for complaints against judges of higher courts?
